Welcome to the fourth edition of the Jerome Journal.

The online journal is now live, proudly presented on our newly refreshed website, a reinvigorated take on Jerome. The new site showcases who we are, our vision as a supplier, and more of what we can offer our partners.

2023 was a big year at Jerome (as we predicted), and 2024 is already shaping up to be bigger again. Outside of our regular seasonal updates, some of the highlights included launching three new product categories; the Field Jacket, Gilet, and Knitwear, and finally two new sneaker models; the Easy Loafer and Easy Chukka Boot. Each new category has a Product Guide available, an in-depth insight to the product history, designs, materials, fitting, and more. Greater marketing material for each of these helps you sell with confidence, something we’ll continue to do ongoing.

The new additions continue to show the acceleration and emphasis that is put into developing the product suite for Jerome retailers. Looking forward to the year ahead, we can tell you we’re continuing to put a lens on new products, stronger fabric collections across casual and formal groups, and enhanced software for a quicker and simpler user experience.

As a supplier, we’re here to help you succeed. Jerome appreciates and celebrates the uniqueness of each brand's vision, with our primary purpose being to help facilitate that vision. Let Jerome be your trusted supplier on the journey to success.

Design Features:
10cm bib shawl lapel & pick stitching

New features included - 10cm bib shawl lapel, shawl lapel pick stitching, customised hanger loop, and formal treatment collar edge piping. Take a look at the newly introduced features for SS24, showcasing the focus and attention to detail we put on design.

The 10cm bib shawl lapel adds to a confident sense of self, one that displays elevated sophistication for evening wear. Additionally, you may also notice the shawl lapel pick stitching, something now offered when the lapel is constructed with fabric-facing (same fabric as the jacket body).

Formal or otherwise, you can now customise the jacket hanger loop colour. Previously offered only as tone-on-tone, you can now choose to add a unique colour as yet another custom feature of MTM.

To round out our evening wear additions, formal treatment collar edge piping adds a refined touch when combined with the same feature on the lapel to have the edge continuously piped.

Originally launching with house fabrics only, the Field Jacket and Gilet program will soon be opened up to cut-length with Loro Piana and Stylbiella.

Showcased here we have three Field Jackets in 100% cotton from Loro Piana’s famed Mare collection. Weighing in at 320 grams, this cotton quality makes a luxurious yet casual product. For our Gilet program we have opted to show two 16 wale corduroys from Stylbiela, and a coveted baby camel hair from Loro Piana’s Overcoats collection.

Cut-length for these products releases a world of new design possibilities. From coating, corduroy and cashmere, elevate your outerwear. We’re in the final stages of unlocking this new development, with a launch date coming soon.

Coming Soon: Software Updates

We’ve been working in the background on some big updates that we can’t wait to release. Launching during the first quarter of 2024, the software will be faster and more user friendly than ever before.

Models functionality

Previously positioned within the My Products List section, we’ve redeveloped and brought this feature to the forefront of the design options page. Pre-set ‘models’ such as the traditional 2-button, notch lapel, flapped pockets jacket will be available, alongside pre-set trousers such as the classic flat-front with belt loops option which we know is frequently sold to customers. Further pre-set models will include options such as tuxedo’s and casual construction jackets.

You will have the option to set up your own models specific to your business’ needs, making order processing easier and faster.

Primary Trims: including grid feature

Selecting a button & lining is an important step in designing a suit with your customer, so now we’ve positioned this at the top of the design options page in a new section ‘Primary Trims’.

Once you’ve selected the Primary Trims and hit ‘apply’, the button and lining will populate across all items together, meaning you no longer have to select a button or lining option for jacket, trouser or waistcoat individually.

Alongside this new development, you can now select a button and/or lining from the new grid presentation found within the system (?) feature. Scroll through the pictures with your customer, or use the search function to find the right button/lining option immediately. Select the option you want directly from the grid, and this will populate in the drop down for you.

Conflicts

With our focus on speed and simplification, during the selection of design options you will now see any design conflict restrictions immediately whilst ordering.

Using a shawl lapel tuxedo as an example, if you selected ‘Yes’ for Formal Lapel and there is a design restriction for AMF stitching on the satin finishing, this will show immediately so you know what options are not available, meaning you can quickly fix design restrictions live in front of your customer when ordering.

This new feature is intuitive, efficient, and enhances your experience using the software.
