JACKET

There are various jacket make’s that influence the appearance and comfort of your customer. Specifically, we are referring to the internal construction of the chest area and shoulders. Offering both machine-made and handmade garments, with varying degrees of handwork, we proudly offer a wide range of choice catering to every retailer or customer preference.

HANDMADE

Handwork in ‘handmade’ make: button attachment, collar front bottom, bottom lining/facing, flower loop. Extra: pick stitching, buttonholes, collar attachment, lining armhole, lining shoulder seam, chest pocket, labels, trouser inner waistband curtain.

TRADITIONAL

Handwork in ‘traditional’ make: button attachment, collar front bottom, bottom lining/facing, flower loop.

DESIGN

The jacket program has a significant array of design options when it comes to creating a garment with a customer. The endless amount of design variations and combinations ensure a truly unique product, purely dependent on your interpretation on what we offer.

CONSTRUCTION

HALF CANVAS - TRADITIONAL MAKE

Pictured Above: The traditional half canvas construction is our most popular option, being the global standard of MTM construction. This method incorporates multiple layers of canvas from the shoulder down through the chest, lapels, and finishes at the top button point. Half canvas jackets strike a desirable balance when compared to other makes - Better structure and shape than fused, whilst remaining lighter and less structured than full canvas.

FULL CANVAS - TRADITIONAL MAKE

Pictured Above: This construction incorporates multiple layers of canvas from shoulder to jacket hem, and requires little interlining. Made using varying compositions of natural fibres, the canvas gradually moulds to the wearer over time, resulting in the jacket feeling natural to the wearer. The drape and longevity is unrivalled, and certainly something worth experiencing.

UNCONSTRUCTED - HANDMADE MAKE

Pictured Above: The unconstructed handmade make is an excellent option for discerning customers with a sartorial inclination, seeking something much less structured and relaxed to wear. Encompassing all the features of our unconstructed traditional make, particularly the canvas shoulder piece and no shoulder padding, the level of handwork is also now increased.

Notable handwork details include pick stitching, buttonholes, collar attachment, lining armhole, lining shoulder seam, chest pocket, and your brand label attachment.

SOFT JACKET

Pictured Above: The carefree construction of modern MTM. With total canvas and interlining removed from the chest, shoulders and lapels, this is our softest most unconstructed make on offer. Although not to every customer's taste, the soft jacket is truly a work of art in casual or lifestyle tailoring.

CONSTRUCTION

SEMI - TRADITIONAL MAKE

Our semi-traditional make features a half canvas chest piece with a fused lapel. Unlike other traditional makes which would have a canvas lapel, the lapel is fused with a special interlining to provide structure and shape. While this make appeals to the price-conscious, it provides an excellent balance of quality and affordability.

UNCONSTRUCTED - TRADITIONAL MAKE

In this make, the main chest canvas is removed, leaving only a small canvas piece in the shoulder area to ensure a clean appearance through the shoulder line and upper area of the jacket. This make is always constructed in combination with no shoulder padding.

FULL CANVAS - HANDMADE MAKE

Our full canvas handmade make is the choice of traditionalists, those who appreciate craftsmanship through delivering the best quality product. In essence, this make embodies all the hallmarks of our full canvas traditional version with multiple canvas layers from shoulder to hem, but now with additional handwork. Notable handwork details include pick stitching, buttonholes, collar attachment, lining armhole, lining shoulder seam, chest pocket, and your brand label attachment.

HALF CANVAS - HANDMADE MAKE

This make is largely similar to the traditional half canvas make, but with an added touch of hand finishing. The handwork lends a sense of ‘perfectly imperfect’ sensibility that is simply unattainable with fully machine-made garments. Notable handwork details include pick stitching, buttonholes, collar attachment, lining armhole, lining shoulder seam, chest pocket, and your brand label attachment.
